Busy days and big dreams
I love talking about dreams, because they are something that gives so much more energy into our life. Dreams are something that drive us forward in life – they inspire, motivate and create a positive picture of the future. I wonder if you can ever dream too much? In the past six months positive dreams and hopes for the future have been essential in keeping my mood up in the middle of quite a messy phase in life. There’s a nice balance in life when your mind has nice plans to dream about for the future and isn’t consumed by only the negative thoughts of a crisis moment.
My TOP3 dreams right now are:
- Get a publishing contract for my book.
- Find and decorate a home that looks and feels exactly like me.
- Master a backward somersault for jiujitsu.
Some of my dreams are big and some are quite easy to achieve. Some take more time to achieve than others. I think that’s one thing that makes dreams so awesome: you can’t get everything at once. It’s a good thing, because that way life keeps a nice little bubbly feeling of anticipation and excitement about your dreams getting closer to happening. I wouldn’t even want all my dreams to come true at once, because I enjoy the road that leads to them. You appreciate and enjoy your dreams coming true more when you have to work for them a bit.
One thing I’ve noticed is important for getting your dreams to come true is being as concrete as possible. The more in detail you know what your dream looks, feels, tastes and sounds like, the easier it is to start going after it. Visualizing your dream is never a waste of time. I try to take time to visualize my dreams at least once a week. I stop, calm down, close my eyes and start visualizing where I want to be in six months, a year or five years. Usually this is best achieved in the sauna where the mind and body relax in silence. Have you tried visualizing your dreams? Visualizing is very important, because when thoughts and visions of our dreams get stuck in the back of our mind, we start to subconsciously work towards them.
In addition to dreaming, I’ve been super busy with work lately. The past summer was so quiet businesswise, but now that the weather has cooled down and autumn has arrived, there is a clear wave of activity in my clients. The days and weeks have actually just flown by since the end of July. Luckily, I’ve been able to stop and recover during the weekends, so my pace doesn’t get too crazy. A good night’s sleep is maybe surprisingly one of the top priorities in my life right now. And it’s something I’m very happy about.
I hope your autumn has had a lovely start and you remember to enjoy the moment and your dreams! ♡
